Good evening, NBA DFS fans! We’re in for a seven-game main slate tonight, and it’s looking like it should be more exciting than the lackluster showing we saw yesterday.

There are a few teams we need to watch out for tonight, as the Bucks, Rockets, and Spurs are all playing on the tail end of a back-to-back set. It’s possible that some of the better players on these teams might sit out or play limited minutes, especially since the Bucks are winding down their regular season and the Rockets and Spurs are in tank mode. Additionally, the Rockets and Spurs are playing each other for the second night in a row, so things could get interesting there.

The big news of the day is Ja Morant’s suspension for two games due to a social media mistake, and Dillon Brooks has also been suspended for tonight’s game due to technical fouls. This means that Tyus Jones is likely to be a chalk value play on DraftKings tonight (he’s also priced up a bit, but still looks good on FanDuel), while Desmond Bane could have a big ceiling despite a tough matchup against the Clippers. Keep an eye on Steven Adams’ status as well, as the Grizzlies could end up being very thin tonight.

In other news, Lauri Markkanen has been ruled out for the Jazz tonight, and Collin Sexton will remain sidelined as well. With a great matchup against OKC, we can look to some Utah players tonight, including Jordan Clarkson, Kessler, Horton-Tucker, and Olynyk, all of whom have intriguing ceiling potential.

Kyle Kuzma (ankle) and Deni Avdija (illness) are both questionable for the Wizards tonight. While I don’t love targeting this team, we could potentially look to some value in their frontcourt if both Kuzma and Avdija sit.

Anfernee Simons remains out for Portland, meaning we’ll likely see plenty of Dame Time along with heavy minutes for Cam Reddish. However, this team is largely priced appropriately now.

Keldon Johnson is expected to return for San Antonio tonight, which limits the appeal of players like Sochan and Collins in today’s rematch with Houston.

Here are our top DFS picks and core plays for FanDuel tonight:

At PG, Tyus Jones is a much preferred pick on DraftKings but still grades out very well on FanDuel. Damian Lillard is always a good choice, especially with Simons out, and Devonte’ Graham enters the potential core play conversation without Jones tonight. Jordan Clarkson is a great upgrade for Utah scoring options with Sexton and Markkanen out, and Cole Anthony is a good choice if you’re playing him tonight, with DraftKings being the preferred platform.

For SG, Desmond Bane has a usage rate near 30% and around 1.30 FPPM without Morant and Brooks, making him a solid pick. Jordan Clarkson is once again an upgrade for Utah scoring options, and Derrick White, John Konchar, and Cam Reddish all offer solid options with injuries giving them heavy minutes.

At SF, Desmond Bane is again a strong pick, and Cameron Johnson is thriving for his new team given their lack of offensive options. Matisse Thybulle offers a solid point per dollar projection, and John Konchar and Cam Reddish round out the options for those looking for heavy minutes with injuries.

For PF, Xavier Tillman and Jaren Jackson should get plenty of opportunity in this spot, and Cameron Johnson is another great pick with his new team. Jabari Smith, Kristaps Porzingis, and Kenyon Martin offer additional options.

At C, Charles Bassey should be one of the main beneficiaries without Sochan and Collins, while Kelly Olynyk offers a high floor and ceiling with Markkanen out this evening, and Xavier Tillman offers another solid option alongside Jaren Jackson. Kristaps Porzingis is an upgrade if both Kuzma and Avdija sit, while Alperen Sengun offers a solid choice as well.

For GPP plays, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Brunson, and Jalen Green offer solid choices at PG, while Talen Horton-Tucker, Gordon Hayward, and Ochai Agbaji offer additional SG options. Keldon Johnson becomes a strong GPP option with several Spurs resting, and Paolo Banchero and Jayson Tatum round out the GPP plays for SF. Jaren Jackson, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Wendell Carter offer additional PF options, while Nic Claxton, Zach Collins, and Brook Lopez offer additional choices at C.
