Good day NBA DFS enthusiasts! It’s Sunday and we’re in for a seven-game main slate with lots of exciting matchups. Compared to yesterday’s lackluster games, today’s slate seems much more promising.

Be mindful of the Bucks, Rockets, and Spurs as they are playing on the tail end of a back-to-back set. With the regular season winding down, the Bucks may ease up on some of their key players, while the Rockets and Spurs are currently in tank mode. It’s also worth noting that the Rockets and Spurs are facing each other for the second consecutive night. Keep a close eye on the news for these three teams as they may pull some surprises.

The news about Ja Morant’s suspension for two games due to his social media mishap is a significant development. Additionally, Dillon Brooks has been suspended for tonight’s game because of technical fouls. Tyus Jones is an excellent value option tonight on DK, despite being priced up a bit. He is also projected well on FD. Desmond Bane, on the other hand, may have a tough matchup against the Clippers, but he has a big ceiling potential. Steven Adams’ questionable status may leave the Grizzlies very thin tonight.

Lauri Markkanen is ruled out for the Jazz, and Collin Sexton remains sidelined. The team has a great matchup against OKC, making Clarkson, Kessler, Horton-Tucker, and Olynyk intriguing picks for tonight’s slate.

We’re keeping a close eye on Kyle Kuzma’s ankle injury and Deni Avdija’s illness for the Wizards’ game tonight. Although it’s not a team we love to target, some value in their frontcourt may be worth considering if Kuzma and Avdija sit.

Anfernee Simons remains out for Portland, meaning we’ll see plenty of Dame Time tonight, along with heavy minutes for Cam Reddish. However, their prices are now appropriately set.

Keldon Johnson’s return for San Antonio tonight limits the appeal of players like Sochan and Collins in their rematch with Houston.

Now, let’s take a look at DraftKings NBA top DFS picks and core plays for March 5, 2023.

Starting with the point guards, Tyus Jones is an excellent value pick on DK and a must-have player in your lineups. Cole Anthony is another strong option with an extreme discounted salary. Without Simons, Damian Lillard is expected to deliver plenty of Dame Time upside, while Devonte’ Graham’s value is upgraded with Jones sitting tonight. Jordan Clarkson is also worth considering, especially with Sexton and Markkanen out.

Moving on to the shooting guards, Cole Anthony and Desmond Bane are excellent picks. Graham’s value is also upgraded with Jones sitting tonight, while Cam Reddish is expected to play heavy minutes with injuries. Horton-Tucker is another intriguing option for the Jazz.

At small forward, Cameron Johnson is thriving for his new team, given their lack of offensive options. Cam Reddish and Kelly Oubre Jr are also solid picks, while Tari Eason offers a cheap yet viable option on DK.

Kelly Olynyk is a must-have pick among power forwards, with a great floor and ceiling potential. Cameron Johnson and Jerami Grant are also worth considering, while Jaren Jackson offers an intriguing GPP upside. Giannis Antetokounmpo is another player to watch out for, but there’s a slight worry with B2B.

Finally, for the center position, Kelly Olynyk and Charles Bassey are must-have players. Xavier Tillman is also a solid pick, while Nic Claxton offers a really intriguing GPP upside against CHA.

Here are five cash and five GPP plays from the list above with their position and salaries:

Cash Plays:

  1. Tyus Jones (PG, $4,200)
  2. Kelly Olynyk (PF/C, $7,200)
  3. Cameron Johnson (SF/PF, $4,400)
  4. Charles Bassey (C, $3,100)
  5. Devonte’ Graham (PG/SG, $5,400)

GPP Plays:

  3. Jaren Jackson Jr. (PF/C, $5,500)
  4. Nic Claxton (C, $3,700)
  5. Jordan Clarkson (PG/SG, $6,500)

These players have the potential to provide excellent value and upside for their respective salaries, making them strong considerations for cash and GPP lineups. Be sure to do your research and keep up-to-date with the latest news and injury updates before making your final decisions.
